Material Donations

Our sanctuary rests at 9,300ft in the Wet Mountain Valley. Weather at this altitude is challenging: Material donations (trucks, building supplies, tools, etc) are the lifeblood of our sanctuary. We have a wishlist below that spells out what is (and is not) helpful for the sanctuary.

We gladly accept second-hand and reused/recycled items as long as they are useful and in good condition. Please only bring brands/items from the wish list.

Please help us with our sustainability efforts: If you are buying items to donate, buy food and supplies with little or no packaging.

Our “Big Three” Wishes

4 WD Sprinter Van

From veterinary trips to educational programs, our 2004 2wd Sprinter Van has been an amazing asset here at the sanctuary. But, it is showing it’s age and desperately needs an upgrade.

Ideally to a 4wd rig to better handle the dirt roads and extreme weather

Lithium-Ion Batteries

The individual staff buildings are still operating off lead acid batteries. These could desperately use replacement with safer and more reliable Lithium-Ion batteries. Each building could operate off of one or two new batteries, safely allowing the staff the power they need.

These can be found here

Emergency Evacuation Crates

In the event of an emergency evacuation, we need to be sure that the animals are secure and safe during movement. It is time to upgrade our 22 crates to escape-proof “Impact Crates” which have been proven to be durable and reliable.
